# United Manufacturing Hub

> United Manufacturing Hub (UMH) is the AI data platform for manufacturing. It connects factory equipment to IT systems and AI agents through 150+ industrial protocols, built on an open-source core (Apache 2.0) that runs entirely on customer infrastructure.

UMH consists of three components: UMH Core (connects, models, and contextualizes manufacturing data), UMH Historian (TimescaleDB-based time-series storage with SQL access), and the Management Console (multi-site governance). Manufacturers use it to build a Unified Namespace, integrate MES and ERP systems, and give AI agents safe, contextualized access to production data.
