umh-core
v0.44.43
v0.44.43
Improvements
- Bridges now start only once CPU, memory and disk are proven healthy, also after a restart. A waiting bridge says why it waits and how to start bridges anyway in an emergency
- Connection checks now run on the "FSMv2 nmap" backend by default, which lowers the total average CPU usage of an UMH-Core instance by up to 25%. Should any errors occur, you can set the
NMAP_BACKEND=fsmv1environment variable to switch back to the old backend.
Fixes
- With
USE_FSMV2_CPU=true, CPU health now shows degraded instead of healthy when the instance cannot read a file it needs to measure the CPU - With
USE_FSMV2_CPU=true, CPU health now shows degraded instead of healthy in the first seconds after a start, while it reads "starting up". New bridges wait until the CPU is proven healthy - An instance now shows as degraded while the emergency setting Turn off bridge admission (
agent.enableResourceLimitBlocking: false) is in place. Instances created before v0.43.12 usually havefalsewritten in config.yaml and show as degraded after this update: set it totruein the Config File to turn bridge admission back on - A config.yaml without
agent.enableResourceLimitBlockingnow counts astrue. This affects hand-written config.yaml files and instances upgrading straight from v0.43.11 or earlier: their new bridges wait until health is proven and a slot under the bridge limit is free - An instance now runs up to its full bridge limit. Before, it stopped one bridge short
- With
USE_FSMV2_CPU=true, the bridge limit now uses the cores the container is allowed to use, not the host's cores. A container limited to 2 cores on a 32-core host now gets a limit of 5 bridges, not 155
